Missing the past

The first thing that struck my mind when I reached home was how messy my house is!! Grr.. I like tidiness and cleanliness so it is really irritating. However, I have sort of expected that this home is no longer my 'home'. I want a nice and clean house but it is impossible without all the contribution of those living in it. I have done my part by removing all my clutter from the 'common' area. Sigh.. there is no point of nagging since I have no say or influence. I shall be happy with my own tidy and clean room -although it is full of things as well.

As years pass by, sadly the people are not getting more mature but getting worse. My parents and my eldest sister are still arguing on daily basis. Sigh.. My parents are getting older so they are becoming more bo chup since they have less influence on the kids. Thus they can only nag and nag now. But my sister continues to be immature and entitled. She should just keep quiet and let my parents nag so they will stop. But she answers and then the nagging continues. It is always the same nagging for the past few years and I am getting so tired hearing. My younger sister just stares at her own computer after work so she is hardly visible also.

Anyway today I decided to just spend my money and get those Rp 250000 container box that can be stacked like a cabinet if I wish. There are 3 types that I was interested in but none is really 100% suitable and I spent quite sometime deciding which one to get. I decided with the most squarish one although the material is the frosted kind that gives like a 'dirty dusty' feel. Bleah.. The other one looks like the typical cheap plastic cabinet when stacked so I don't want the cheap feel although the material is clear and has a 'cleaner' feel. The third one easily fell out favour because the size is slightly smaller. Anyway, it will be under the bed so I won't really see it and I bought 3.

Mall of Indonesia (MOI) is much better now after renovation. In the past, I only went there when I needed to buy container box from Carrefour. The last time I went, a lot of parts were closed for renovation and things like that and I was not expecting that the mall would last. Now there are so many interesting food places to eat and I simply had not enough space in the stomach to try them all. Today I tried otako (otak-otak goreng) and a very nice batagor. The batagor is Rp 28000 for 5 pieces so it is very reasonable and the taste is pretty good.

A bit more about the batagor because I am pretty sure it is the boss or maybe the boss' son who served me. He call me OM for goodness sake! Om means uncle and this is not meant to be a joke over the "Om telolet Om" meme. I don't think I am that much older than him or he can even possibly be older than me leh. Haha.. And I was wearing clothes that I wore during my secondary school days T_T Clothes can hide my signs of aging. Anyway I appreciate the friendliness and the small talks.

I saw him taking notes of how many items sold for the day and there were about 30 when I was there. Assuming he can sell 50 a day, after minusing the rent (I don't know how much), the wages for the workers, I think the profit may not beat what I am earning right now. I should be more grateful I guess.

Moving on the next thing about my old laptop. The first thing I did upon arriving home was to check if it was still capable of connecting to the internet. Thank goodness it is still capable using direct LAN cable. Antivirus updated, drivers updated, but the wireless and bluetooth adaptors cannot be revived. Sigh.. It took overnight to update the drivers (I don't really understand what it is all about) so I was very hopeful that it could somehow bring it back to 'life'. I cannot even do any update for Windows as the Windows Update just keeps searching sigh.. Anyway, it is 6 more months for it to be a decade old and it really has done a good job for me. Thanks, TravelMate! That is really the model name of my laptop, no pun intended haha..

My childhood rabbit plush (she is called Ui)  has a secret power of bringing me back to the past. There was 1 day when I slept by holding it and I literally had dreams about my younger days. The one at night was about me back in my secondary school days while the one at day was about me throwing tantrums to my siblings that ended up with me slamming the door and "Please get out of my room NOW!". Haha... I love you ui but I am not going to hold you in my arms when I sleep anymore.

Yesterday I decided to visit a few facebook pages that used to have Johnny's videos. They stopped uploading and removed their videos a few months ago citing copyright issues. Guess what? Now they are back!! Yay!! Haha.. I am not gonna say which pages so that JE does not harass them. I am pretty outdated so I was quite sad and shocked to hear that SMAP will be disbanding after this 31st December.

Time flies and Sexy Zone is already celebrating their 5th anniversary. Wow.. They are no longer kids now. I no longer 'followed' them after their 3rd album. I just got their fourth album which is horrible. The singles after their third album are not very nice and hence I don't follow this album but the other songs are not better. I think they are really losing their direction as they attempt to shed away their child image. Their newer songs simply no longer have the Sexy Zone feel and they will just end up as any other Johnny's group who has gone forgettable now.

They sang a medley in one of the Shounen Club episodes and I have mixed feelings hearing their older singles with their mature voice now. Yes it is more refreshing but at the same time, it reaffirms my perception that their voices are not unique enough to be recognisable. With songs which are getting more and more generic, it is really a journey towards obscurity. Sadly their 5th anniversary contains just copies of their previous singles. I would be less disappointed if they at least re-record to change previous boyish voices to their teenage voices now. Anyway, the new original songs for this album are also as forgettable as those songs in their fourth album. Oh ya, the title of the fourth album is Welcome to Sexy Zone. No reference to number 4 at all unlike all their other albums: one Sexy Zone, Sexy Second, Sexy Power, and 5th Anniversary Best.

I am waiting for my download quota for Hey! Say! JUMP's latest album so it is better not be a disappointment.

WaT... the... T_T

I don't know if people are spending their angpaus or it is because of Valentine's Day but I noticed that the restaurant queues were long throughout the day. Flowers, balloons, gifts, romantic meals.. they are reminders that being single is an informed choice that I consciously make. I still can't imagine cracking my head to plan for these "sweet" things. Sigh.. Will I change? Or will I be able to find a girl who is not into these kinds of time wasting activities? Well, for now, I will enjoy Valentine's Day with the one who truly loves myself, no matter how moody, how fat, how irritating, and how (insert all negative adjectives that you can think of) I am: myself.

This morning I came across the news that WaT is disbanding. Aih... I don't know why I feel sad as I thought they were already disbanding since long time ago anyway. WaT has a special place during my university days and I actually have their albums and singles until 2008. In fact, I still use their song Ready Go! as my alarm tune in my K800i phone. After that, they seemed to disappear and I was not aware that they were on a hiatus. They came back in late 2015 only to announce that they are disbanding this year. I will definitely miss their music. Although their songs do not exactly have memorable tunes, they are pleasant to the ears and when listening to them, my mood becomes relaxed and happy.
The final single.. I have to admit that I find this so so only.

From my friend's facebook wall, I discovered about AKB48's latest single: Kimi wa Melody. I was pleasantly surprised to see old members again, especially Tomomi Itano on the first few second. What is going on with AKB48 nowadays?? Hmm.. apparently their latest single failed to hit 1 million sales on their first week and that was seen as a sign of dipping popularity. I guess the management finally realise that no way AKB48 will survive in the long run and at the rate they keep getting the old members back, it seems that they are getting desperate. The video for the latest single looks gorgeous: pretty girls, gorgeous kimonos, colourful display. What more can we ask for? The moment I read that the person behind this is the same one behind Heavy Rotation, I am not amazed with the amount of fanservice that will happen.
Very pretty MV.. if only the song is as catchy as Heavy Rotation..

And talking about Heavy Rotation, I just found out about the existence of the video below. He sings very well and surprisingly the song still sounds pretty nice when sung by a guy.

AAA

A few weeks ago I came across to this J-Pop group called AAA. A mixed group (i.e boys and girls) are rare and it is even more rare to find a great and successful one. Again, I support songs rather than artists as all artists definitely will have good and bad songs. However, being used to idol groups (like Johnny's Jimusho boys or AKB girls), I have to admit that AAA members are great singers. Each member has a unique voice and it is nice to hear different voices/solo parts in a song. Even when a few members singing together in harmony, you can still hear the individual voices as each voice is unique enough to be recognisable. In addition, they also sound great when singing live, unlike AKB or Johnny's live singing which make me cringe.

AAA is under Avex and I am happy that Avex is quite generous in uploading their full MV. Here are some of the songs which I like:
Love

Sayonara no Mae ni

Live version. Does not sound the same as the recording but not because they were singing off-key ^^

Niji (this is actually a song from Greeeen, another J-pop band which have quite a few great songs)

They just released another single on 22 July and holy molly: Avex already makes its full music video available in Youtube on the same day!! The song is quite catchy, although I may not like it as much as the songs I put above, and I enjoy music video as it feels very fun and light-hearted. I like this kind of video better than those "formally" directed and shot.

AAA is celebrating 10th anniversary this year!! I am surprised I never came across their music much earlier. Earlier this year, they even came to Singapore wor...

After graduation of many of the familiar faces that made me like AKB48 in the first place, it is quite difficult to sustain my interest, especially when AKB48's songs tend to sound somewhat similar. I watched newer AKB48 videos where new members singing the old hit songs and they sounded terrible. They were worse than the old members who were not very good in singing live to begin with.

It is more than half a year since the release of their single Kibouteki Refrain. The songs are okay but what makes it very interesting is that it features the members which have graduated. There are a lot speculation behind the music video: from it simply being a cash grabber using the old members which are more "loved" than the newer members to how it simply features various AKB48 centers throughout the years. There are plenty of interesting theories and observation from the PV. Oh there is actually another reason for its popularity upon the release: Tomo-chin violent boobs XD

Although Hey! Say! JUMP perhaps is my favourite Johnny's group, I tend to be quite lagging in their music release. Thus it was a record that I discovered their 4th album JUMPing CAR just a few days after its release. Lol. Sadly, I enjoyed this new album even less than their 3rd album s3art which is kinda expected given the fact that I don't really enjoy their recent singles since Come on a My House, except for Asu e no Yell. Usually there are plenty of good non-single songs in the album which I will like but there is not any with JUMPing CAR.
Album cover
Surprisingly, I decided to get Sexy Zone's album Sexy Power3 which was released in May after coming across their version of Let's Go to Earth. Although the PV was lazily made, the song is good and a lot of Jrs are featured. By the way they credit the song to Sexy Family. Faints -__-"

I am pretty biased against Sexy Zone after they 'relegated' Sou and Marius to the background. I am not a fan of their PVs as a lot are very lazily made: they are just dancing in front of green screen and they put animated backgrounds etc. But when I listen to the album, some of the songs are actually pretty good. Haha.. For example is Otoko never give up. I never like the song when watching their performance or their PV. But after only listening to the audio, it has some nice parts too. Lol.. This album reminds me of HSJ previous album: there is a medley with all the singles (although Sexy Zone's singles do not blend as well as HSJ singles to form a medley) and there are a few nice non-single songs. By the way I notice something interesting. When they were a still 5-member group, there were a lot of criticism towards Shori's vocal as he does not get as many solo lines as Kento or Fuma despite being the center of the group. After they become a 3-member group, I think Shori can sing pretty well. I think his voice is not a generic boyband type of voice. I hope he remains cute without trying toomuch to be cute or to be cool like Kento or Fuma.

The other song in their Otoko never give up single is actually quite nice and has a pretty fun PV as well. Quickly watch this before it is being taken down.

I actually don't like their newer singles Cha Cha Cha Champion and Maware Miracle. Let's see if my sentiment will be repeated again when they release their next album. Haha..

To end this post, I want to share this funny short clip featuring Kento and Marius.

Budget busted

I read an article shared on facebook that 1 thing that people should do in their 30s (I am not there yet) so that they don't regret in the future is to travel with their parents while they are still healthy and strong enough to travel. As much as I want to do that very often, I feel that I don't have the patience and energy to face family quarrel and conflict daily during travel. Sigh.. my family came to Singapore over the last weekend.

As expected, there were quarrels because people were too selfish and only thought about themselves. Food was an issue as my dad and elder sister die die also wanted to look for rice. I hate people asking me for food recommendation when obviously my taste is way beyond theirs. Quarrels over shopping also happened. My mum had a bad habit of black facing when others were shopping but all her tiredness would disappear when it was her turn to shop. But obviously I don't want to travel with my elder sister. She is not only problematic about food, she also does not like to walk, gets tired easily, and basically only wants to do or go whatever she feels like doing.

I was upset that in the end my dad refused to bring back the soda maker I won from Standard Chartered Bank. He mentioned that the machine came with CO2 tank and noone sells it in Jakarta so no point of bringing it over because after we use finish the CO2, the machine will be useless. Haiz... I am giving it to my cousin here and I am glad to hear that likely her dad will be happy to play with it. At least it will not be wasted. I also wanted to use $100 Sentosa Voucher that I won to eat something good and expensive. Again it was not used because of the troublesome people over food :( Since the vouchers were expiring on the 27th March, I just used all of them in Universal Studios souvenir shop. Bleah.. the things are so bad that it was difficult to spend $100. I had to force my parents to get a pair of ugly looking polo for $50 and I spent the other $50 over rubbish such as the replica of the revolving Universal globe and a mug. Wasted wasted wasted... If only this is a Disneyland voucher, it will not be a problem to even spend $1000 :p

Accompanying my sister shopping resulted in me buying things which I initially did not know about. T_T First, I bought Nyanko sensei and Kuro nyanko plushies from Natsume Yuujincho that I am currently watching. They are quite big that I can't fit them into the largest ziploc bag available. I usually put my plushies into ziplog bags to prevent dust. Less space for me on bed but as long as it makes me happier, it is a good trade off. As other prize figures, they are $36 each.
I prefer opened eyes for Nyanko Sensei as well
My new sleep mates :)
I did not know that there was a Japanese toy fair at Takashimaya. After waiting and hoping for a sale for 1 year, I decided not to wait any longer and just buy Figuarts Zero Atsushi Murasakibara. He is the only one from the whole set that I don't have. It is very pricey at $40 but since I want to utilise my $10 voucher, I decided to just bite the bullet. Bandai.. Bandai.. your quality is really damn shit. The paint job is even worse than some prize figures. But again, it was too late. I already had the rest of the cast so might as well get this to complete.
After 3 months of waiting, finally Kinokuniya 20% Members Sale is here. Hahaha.. The sale 2 weeks ago was only for Main Store so I did not want to buy those items available in Bugis since I can earn Capitastar at Bugis. I bought 2 Kuroshitsuji books and 1 Free! Eternal Summer. And talking about Free!, I am quite pissed with Kinokuniya. Kyoani often release exclusive Free! artbooks. Last year when I pre-ordered from Japan (which cost me a bomb because of the proxy fees), Kinokuniya brought in these exclusive books. I thought they would continue do that for subsequent exclusives and I did not pre-order from Japan again. Guess what, when I did not pre-order, Kinokuniya also did not bring in! Damn it. I have to hunt at secondary markets which usually have inflated prices.. Don't even talk about proxy fees which will inflate the prices even more.
This is the spread front and back covers. The book is still A4 in size.
Lastly, thank goodness for the reprint of Cardcaptor Sakura's Clow Card book. I missed the January print and I did a special order at Kinokuniya. I was surprised that they arrived quite quickly and then I realised it was because they were getting the reprint in March. The price was about $5 more than the January one because of exchange rates perhaps. And lucky that this week also the members sale so I can still get 20% discount for this. If only Kinokuniya sale happened last week, I could send all these books to Jakarta via my family also. Haiz.. Now I have to carry heavy luggage this April.

I stopped following Ayumi Hamasaki for a few years already but I could not help but curious when my friend shared her new song The GIFT which featured JJ Lin. My first thought was: what the heck he was doing! After watching the PV, I was like: how come he did not sing but only played the piano? Any guy could have played the piano. He was actually the composer =x Lol.. Haha.. Well, I have to give him credits because this song is quite awesome, not the generic J-pop/J-rock type that usually I avoid.
I think I can use this song as my wedding song. Haha.. That is provided I can find a bride as pretty as Ayu.

CNY is over and life is back to its monotonous cycle of rinse and repeat. I was hoping to use the holiday period to catch up with my studies but obviously that did happen. Other than blogging about my toys, I continued with watching Natsume Yuujinchou and currently I am at season 2. I also decided to watch the 3 concert DVDs that I had in my laptop since 2012. Ooops. Haha...

The first one is Sexy Zone Arena Concert 2012 which I find to be very boring. Haha... Well can't really blame them because it was not long after their debut so they had limited song choices. The second one is Sexy Zone Japan Tour 2013 which is slightly better because by that time they had released their first album and thus they had more songs. I follow Sexy Zone since their debut but as much as I want to like them, ultimately they are just not my cup of tea. From their concert interaction, I think they are trying too hard to be "cool and sexy" which is not too appropriate considering their age. In the attempt to be cool and sexy, they end up being too generic and similar with other Johnny's groups. I don't know why but they really remind me of KATTUN lately, in terms of music and personality. It does not help that none of the members really have a unique/recognisable voice.

The third concert DVD that I watched is Hey! Say! JUMP - JUMP World 2012. Perhaps I am biased but I really enjoyed watching it. It is my first time watching HSJ concert and it reinforces my liking towards them. They strike a good balance between "cute genki" songs and "cool dance" songs. Most of their songs have the unique JUMP feel while those few that don't have are usually those I don't really like. Lol. And it definitely helps that HSJ has so many members with strong and unique vocal.

After Come On A My House, I don't really like subsequent HSJ singles. I did not realise that their latest single is actually double A-side with 2 songs: Weekender and Asu e no YELL. Not long after the release, I was only aware of Weekender which is not my cup of tea. Yesterday I tried to listen to Asu e no YELL and wow, this is the typical JUMPy song that I like. I don't like PV which only involves dancing in the studio but Asu e no YELL is an exeption as it seems to be a fun video. The feel that I get is that they are dancing for fun, and not dancing seriously to impress others and to act cool.  And I guess blond or bleached hair does not suit Asians that well. Yuto and Ryosuke look ridiculous with their new hair colors.

Just enjoy the PV

What's up?

Wew.. only 1 post so far in January. I never thought that catching up with my work and continuing with my study would be taking up so much time. For the past week, I have been away at a hospital for my attachment. I had PTSD thinking about it as it is the hospital whee I had all the bad experiences as a student a few years ago. I am so glad that the preceptor I am following this time is much nicer than the one I got a few years ago. I still have another 1.5 week and I really hope that I don't see the ex-preceptor that I hate.

I was expecting that I could relax since I am away from my usual work, from scolding people, and from being scolded. I was wrong. Haha.. Okay, honestly, the stress is less but there is still stress, a different kind of stress. I am not stressed over my lousiness as I know there are so many things that I don't know. In fact, my aim for this attachment is just to clear whatever I need to submit, not so much about the learning itself. My eyes are very tired as I am sitting in front of the computer the whole day. I don't mind working hard as long as it is not wasted. But out of the 10 cases that I clerked, less than half will actually be useful. Haiz.. Many of the cases are too simple or they are of the same/similar disease. T_T After reaching home, I have to continue tidying up the slides or replying my work emails. Pity my eyes.

Things still don't get better after my surgery. I am badly constipated again. Haiz.. This time I don't have any antibiotic to blame. I don't know if it is because I don't dare to push the shit out or if it is because I only take cereals nowadays for dinner. One thing which I am very sure is that the output is much lesser than the amount of food that I eat. So what happen inside my intestines sia? I even bought lactulose and dulcolax and they don't help. Sigh.. After taking dulcolax, I only have water coming out instead of shit. To make things worse, my right side is rather painful since last night. Of course what happened had happened. Worry also does not help anything but I am just hoping that the mesh does not get dislodge inside or something.

To make things happier, I will post some J-pop videos. It has been a long time since I am following latest J-pop. Having said that, it does not mean that I am updated to the latest things as well. Lol.. Sometime last year, I predicted that AKB48 would slowly lose popularity with so many familiar faces graduating in 2014. I am obviously wrong because they are still hitting 1m+ singles. In fact, their Labrador Retriever single hit close to 1.8m sales in total.

Although I am glad that they are still singing pop, rather than rock, songs, I still think their songs are too generic nowadays. The tunes sound somehow similar to their previous singles. Of course the good thing is that if people like their previous songs, they will like the new songs too as they are similar. Sadly, this lacks of creativity also extends to their video clip. As you can see from the Labrador PV, all their summer songs are simply girls in skimpy bikinis dancing on the beach. Bleah... And the dog is not that cute so that is another minus point. Haha...

Their single after that is Kokoro no Placard and the concept behind the PV is exactly the same as Koi Suru Fortune Cookie. A part of me feels that it is a nice approach to have them dancing and shooting videos with normal people who may be their fans too. Another part of me feels that it is too fake. After all, these extras are paid or something to do this. Do it one time makes it feel good. Repeat it and it invokes more of the latter.

Their latest single is Kiboteki Refrain. I am quite excited to see the PV as their graduating members like Atsuko Maeda, Yuko Oshima, Mariko Shinoda, and Tomomi Itano are appearing as cameo! Hooo... AKB48 official youtube channel will only put the PV a few months later so I shall just wait. Song-wise, I don't really like it. Lol...

I can't be bothered about Sexy Zone anymore after they are only featuring 3 members. It gave me a hope when I saw this video. I have never seen it previously and it was only uploaded 2 weeks ago. Is this something new?? Hmm... I miss their old songs so watching this is kinda nostalgic. I think they should hire the songwriter for Hey! Say! JUMP. HSJ's more grown up songs still retain the HSJ cutesy feel from their younger days. That's what makes them remain unique. I guess it does not help that Sexy Zone members don't really have unique voice. Generic voice + generic music makes them fall into obscurity like the most of Johnny's Associates boybands.

King & Queen & Joker (& 2 maids)

It is actually quite rare for me to be this updated with J-Pop as I am simply losing touch with them. Out of boredom, today I just looked at Sexy Zone and Hey! Say! JUMP fan pages on facebook and I found out that Sexy Zone just released their 6th single two days ago. From the title "King & Queen & Joker", it tells me two things: it is going to be something cutesy (typical Sexy Zone stuff) which I will like and Marius + Sou will be neglected again as per usual.

I am right for the 2nd guess and am wrong for the first one. The song is very "bland". I have downloaded the PV and played it for the 5th time as I am typing this. The tune is not catchy enough for me to remember it. The tune is just something typical of any other J-Pop boybands and nothing really stands out. Kind of sad as I am something something cutesy from them. The PV also falls on the boring part as they spend more time with the dancing instead of making something interesting and playful with their King & Queen & Joker theme.

Japanese idols are often regarded as "dumb" idols in the sense that they are not very talented and just use their star power/charm/whatever you want to call it to succeed in anything they do. Sexy Zone can be regarded as so. Their individual voice is not good or unique enough and usually for a group composed as such, it is better when they sing together instead of solo. Kinda reminds me of AKB48 too haha.. Unfortunately, there are too many solo parts of Kento, Shori, and Fuma for this song. Thus overall, the song is rather poor.. Bleah..

After watching the PV, I really think that the song should have been called King & Queen & Joker & 2 Maids (or butlers)

No offense for Sexy Zone fans. I actually kinda like them at the beginning. And as I mentioned repeatedly, I am a fan of good songs rather than a fan of certain groups. So even if I can like a band or a singer, if their songs suck, I will say so. But who knows if I will change my mind?? Haha.. Previously I also did not have a very good initial impression on their Dubai single but nowadays I can spam the replay button listening to it. Lol..
Can't get high quality pictures of the single jackets.. Well it is only 2 days old ^^

Almost gave up

Lent is coming and it is time to give up on something again. I still cannot believe it that I still managed to resist fast food and junk food for the past 2+ months. Honestly, I feel that the temptation to give myself a treat before embarking on Lent is super huge!! However, I am concerned that I will relapse instead :( This evening, I finally gave in to buying bubble tea. Haiz.. I promised it will be the last one until I fly home during my birthday. For this Lent, one sure thing that I will give up is Starbucks which has become like a new addiction recently. Last year, I had drinks at Starbucks etc once every 2 months or so. Recently, I am having one every 2 weeks or so. So yeah, I have a reason too worry. Although the drinks do not seem to be as unhealthy as bubble tea, fast food, and junk food, I am sure they are loaded with tonnes of sugar too!

My biggest "addiction" problem is actually collecting toys. But I don't think I can survive not buying, especially since it is just a matter of time before I pre-order Shiraishi and Yukimura figurines from Kotobukiya ArtFX J New Prince of Tennis. Let's aim for something more possible. Haha..

Anyway, it has been a long time since I wrote anything about J-Pop. I officially cannot be bothered about AKB48 anymore after the departure more of the older faces. Their recent singles are mediocre at best. Koisuru Fortune Cookies is just so-so for me although the fan-made video gimmicks sort of hype up the single. I hate their subsequent single (Heart Electric/Heart Ereki). Their next single (Suzukake Nanchara) has quite a easy-listening tune but it sounds quite similar to their previous medium-tempo songs like Give Me Five!. After making the longest PV ever with their "So Long", they come with the longest song title ever:"Suzukake no Ki no Michi de 'Kimi no Hohoemi o Yume ni Miru' to Itte Shimattara Bokutachi no Kankei wa Dō Kawatte Shimau no ka, Bokunari ni Nan-nichi ka Kangaeta Ue de no Yaya Kihazukashii Ketsuron no Yō na Mono(鈴懸の木の道で「君の微笑みを夢に見る」と言ってしまったら僕たちの関係はどう変わってしまうのか、僕なりに何日か考えた上でのやや気恥ずかしい結論のようなもの.With 76 Japanese characters, nobody will ever remember the full name and thus it is more well known in the short form Suzukake Nanchara. Surprisingly, AKB48's popularity remains undented with each single still selling more than 1 million. For me personally, they need new tunes and new concepts which make their earlier singles all sound different but yet interesting to listen and watch.
Sexy Zone released their second album, Sexy Second, on the 19 February. I find it quite disappointing as compared to their first album where I still can find a new nice songs and I find none in this second album. Sexy Zone went for a trip to Dubai and recorded a "new" video for バィバィDuバィ〜See you again〜 in Dubai. Honestly, this is much better than the official PV! If they released this as the official PV, perhaps I will like the song even more. Anyway, Dubai is AMAZING! The architecture and those man-made islands really blow me away. They also released a PV "We Gotta Go" together with the album. The PV is quite nice to watch as it only features the 5 of them and Sou and Marius are not as neglected as they were in their last 2 singles. The song is not that bad but I hate the parts where they go: "Everybody gotta go.. Everybody gotta go... We gotta go go go...". which I find very irritating and butcher the song. Perhaps I need to listen to the album a few more times to grow liking it.

Moving on to Hey! Say! JUMP! They released "Ride with Me" single on Christmas Day 2013 which I could not be bothered. Lol.. I don't know why but typically I hate HSJ's "cool" songs wor.. There are plenty of complaints from fans that HSJ is very slow when it comes to releasing singles and album. So it was a surprise when just more than a month later, they released not one, but 2 singles as double-A side. The singles are "AinoArika" and "Aisureba Motto Happy Life" and they released 2 PVs too.

I am a sucker for over-the-top orchestra so AinoArika score many points. I don't know why so many people praise Hikaru's rap here. I thought it did not really blend well with the song and sort of ruined the song for me. Another reason for liking this is that each member gets their own lines which is quite a rare thing for Keito and Ino in their past few singles. Yup, glad to see that they get more screen time.

The PV for Aisureba Motto Happy Life seems to be lazily made with rehash of ideas, themes, and colours from Come on a My House. Cleaning the house? Cooking? Decorating the house? Aren't they familiar? I thought Keito's PV performance has improved since he sang quite realistically in AinoArika but he got back to his "can't be bothered" lip-sync in this PV. Well, we all know that singers lip-sync when making their PV but the least that he can do is to pretend that he is singing for real :p

These double-A side singles show how versatile HSJ is. They can sing cool song and make cool PV for one single and then switch completely to a cutesy song.

Personal emo day

28 October has always been my personal emo day because 11 years ago, my parents shipped me away from home and sold me away for free education in Singapore. It is especially emo this year because of my broken Aladdin figurine and there is a risk of me losing the money as well. To top it off, I am very very sick.

I have been having this cough for almost 1 week now. There is phlegm which is very difficult to cough out. Not sure if there is really phlegm but the cough is getting "deeper" as if the phlegm is lodged deep within my lungs. The phlegm is minimal and surprisingly the color is still milky white-pale yellow. I am pretty sure this is cause by the same bug which affected my boss before her departure. Haha.. the symptoms are the same!

I took DMP + bromhexine throughout the weekend and there was not much improvement. I even decided to use salbutamol inhaler which I bought for standby due to haze a few months back! Also did not help :( Today I started on Clarithromycin and I bought Fluimucil to replace bromhexine. Initially Clarithromycin suprisingly also provided some symptom relief lol. However now the cough is back :( After all of these medication, perhaps what I really need is an MC to take care of everything.

Now I know that Clarithromycin which I keep is yellow in color and from now on I will advise people to take it with food. I took it on empty stomach and I felt the churning. On the brighter side, it sorts of distracted me from my chest discomfort. I also learn that Fluimucil tablet is rather small and is white in colour. Nothing fantastic about the taste. Haha.. Most importantly, I experienced first hand how to use metered dose inhaler haha.. I have no issue with gas coming out of my mouth. But I can taste the medicine on my tongue! That means the medicine does not reach my lungs :(

Totally unrelated by here is Sexy Zone's 5th single:

Can't find it on Youtube, Youku, Yinyuetai, etc but surprisingly I can embed it from facebook. The title is バィバィDuバィ〜See you again〜 or Bye Bye Dubai ~See you again~. It is a double A side single with A My Girl Friend as the other single which does not really sound gramatically correct. Surprisingly, the single is another no. 1 in the chart. I don't really like the Dubai song and I totally hate the PV. I always dislike PV which is shot against blue screen and then they insert whatever background they want. Unlike Real Sexy PV which is still rather cool and has a story, this Dubai PV is entirely pointless. They even try to fake the flying sand with white fog and digital white sparkles. Jeez.. And the clothes... ew.. nothing related to the Middle East at all.. Well, I will suprised if J-Pop PV actually makes any sense.

Anyway, I like the other single (A My Girl Friend) better and I enjoy Shori, Kento, and Fuma solo songs too. Hmm..

Another crazy dream!

It is amazing to see what human brain is capable of doing even when the human is in deep slumber. I just had another bizarre dream last night and it was even weirder because it was totally unrelated to my state of mind. I would not be surprised if I dream of something which has been bugging my mind lately or of something stimulating (be it in a positive or negative way) which I just watch, read, or listen before I go to bed.

Well the dream began with me going to check-in to a hotel. On the other side of the reception desk, I recognised Nakajima Kento and Sato Shori. I approached them and asked them if I recognised them correctly as members of Sexy Zone. They did not expect to be recognised and were telling each other "Eh how come someone is able to recognise us!". Haha.. Since they wanted to keep it secretive, I asked them whether I could take pictures together and got their autograph later night and they agreed.

Before going out to the city, they disguised themselves with dark sunglasses and unusual hairstyles so that nobody else would recognise them. And somehow the other 3 members also appeared. Due to the heat, somehow their disguise sort of melted and crazy fangirls started to recognise them. We (yes, I had no idea how I ended up with them) decided to split and escaped. I flagged a taxi and boarded together with 1 member which I could not recall who. Somehow the scene changed to my main street outside my home in Jakarta and I asked the taxi driver to turn left towards my house. He refused and I remembered trying to strangle him (What??!!) and telling him "If you are trying to kidnap us, I will jump out of the taxi". I opened the taxi door and as I was contemplating whether to jump (and kill myself) or not, my alarm clock rang!! Darn!! Just right on the exciting part!! Haha.. So yeah, in the end I did not get any photos and autograph of them. Lol.

I am aware that Sexy Zone is going to release their 5th single on 9th October. However, I am not too excited about it and the last time I listened to the song was like 2 days ago. No idea why suddenly they invaded my dream last night. Anyway, here is the song preview, or rather the full song, before the copyright cops take it down!

Well since we are at the topic of J-Pop, I might as well visit AKB48 which I no longer feel excited about after a string of boring and sound-alike singles. Surprisingly, their singles are still constantly exceeding 1 million sales. Hmm hmm.. Perhaps it is only I who gets bored of them. Their latest single "Koi Suru Fortune Cookies" marks the departure of Mariko Shinoda and Tomomi Itano, the 2 members which I actually like. Sigh.. The song is quite average and the video clip is rather disappointing for AKB48 whose previous PVs are often over-the-toply cutesy etc. Many fans actually complain that there is less screen time for the members as compared to random faces of the public. Anyway the PV is shot in Fukuoka where Mariko Shinoda is from.

There is staff version too and the staff are more hilarious to watch than the random people on the street in the official PV!

At the same time, sister group JKT48 also released Indonesian version of the same song. Surprisingly, I find that this version sounds "brighter" and more energetic. It makes AKB48's version sounds lethargic! Anyway, it still does not make the song more appealing to me haha..

There was company's Active Day this afternoon and it was a rather waste of time. Other than mass exercise for 10 minutes, there was nothing else for us to do except for watching the people who were competing to complete the obstacle course. I think even for the competitors, it was rather passive -_- 10 push ups -> 10 sit-ups -> 10s planking -> 10 lunges -> 10 star jumps -> 10 burpees -> 50m (or less) sprint. That is for the "elite" category or those below 40 years old. For those above 40, make the "10"s to "5"s. Phew...

In the evening, I had a meet-up with my uni friends. It was the first time that we had full attendance!! Yay! We had a meating (meeting-and-eating) at Ssikek Korean BBQ in United Square. The place was crazily crowded. After eating, I was not surprised. I paid $28.30 and it was worth it with the amout of meat that I ate. My only complaint was that their drinks and salad dressings were too sweet for my taste!! Haha.. I am really jealous when I see people with smaller body size can eat much more than me. I am not jealous with the eating part but with the body part. Haha.. I control my diet (small servings of rice and eat vegetables for half of my meals) and I clock in at least 30 minutes of physical exercise (walking :p) daily but I am still getting fat. Haiz.. I wonder if it is something to do with too much sleep =x Anyway, it was a good place to eat. When we exited, our hair, skin, clothes, and even bags (!!) smelled like BBQ!! Haha.. Oh ya, and the Vienna seafood restaurant nearby smells and looks good too! Hehe..

And I received this very nice keychain from Malacca. A very apt message to read everytime I feel emo :(

Come on a my House

About 2 months ago, I posted a video of Hey! Say! JUMP performing a new song called Come on a my House in Shonen Club. I am not linking this post to the previous post as the video has been removed from Youtube due to copyright issue. Yes, Johnny's Entertainment and NHK are so anal for this kind of thing. Apparently, I was wrong to say the title is not grammatically corrent. In fact, there is another song with similar title "Come on-a My House" released in 1950s sung by Rosemary Clooney. I still don't quite get what "on-a" means anyway.

The song is chosen as a new single released on 26 June. Yay! It is another number 1 single so that's another yay! It has been quite sometime since HSJ released a single and it has been a looong time that they have a cutesy single and PV which I enjoy. Their most recent cute single prior to this is Magic Power which I don't particularly like as a song. The PV takes place in HSJ's house. Typical to an all-boys environment, the house is messy and they have to tidy things up because this "jumping girl" is coming over. I am sure the fangirls are going ga-ga over the prospect of seeing their idols' house. But I can tell you that based on my personal experience, guys' share house is definitely not a nice place to be in. Haha.. especially if the guys are messy and unhygienic.

Great acting from HSJ here, especially Yamada's expression when receiving the phone calls. I like the text bubbles which depict a story. The home clothes and pajamas are quite realistic and I find them better than the formal clothes they wear at the end of the PV when welcoming the girl. And it is definitely nice to have all 9 members get plenty of exposure here. Previously in SUPER DELICATE, Keito and Inoo only get like 5 seconds of air time each -_- But Keito seems like humming, rather than singing, in the PV. I know that in PV making, singers are always lip-synching but when audience watch the end product, we always want to see as if the singers are really singing mah. The dog is cute but I find its lack of response to be very irritating. Despite being cuddled, pet, etc, the dog remains emotionless and does not even look at the person holding it o_0

The house itself does not look realistic. It is just messy but it is not dirty. That is an impossible combination in real life. Haha.. How can things be messy but not dusty? And how can clean crockery being piled up on top of each other? Haha.. When I went to my friend's house, it is always a pile of dirty and unwashed plates, pots, etc. Complete with the smell and certain flying insects. Lol.. And as messy as we boys are, we certainly do not throw our clothes up to the windows ledge. Haha.. But overall, still a great and enjoyable PV. In fact, I was tempted to purchase the single because of the PV but unfortunately, the first press was already sold out. Not the best quality here but enjoy it before Johnny's claims for copyright infringement again.

I was pretty excited to read positive reviews on the other songs in the single. But I was disappointed. The other songs are just not my cup of tea I guess.

Some updates about AKB48, their latest single (which I thought was horrible) almost hit 2m in sales so it seems that their stars are still shining brightly. I am growing ambivalent towards them as I don't quite enjoy their last few consecutive singles. According to latest news, Mariko Shinoda is graduating from AKB48 in a month time. With her and Tomomi Itano leaving, I don't think there any other girls which I like. It is great to see Yuko Oshima and Minami Takahashi still around but they are not my favourites. They had their 5th election and surprisingly Yuko was not number 1. The number 1 is Rino Sashihara. I have no idea who she is. I googled her pictures and I really cannot recognise her face from previous PVs. So that was a bummer for me. Lets see how good or bad their next single is to decide whether I am still a fan of AKB48 fan :p

Real Sexy!

Sexy Zone released their fourth single on 1 May. The title is getting more and more bizzare: Real Sexy!/Bad Boys. It is supposed to be a double-A single but only Real Sexy is made into PV. Bad Boys is used as the soundtrack of Bad Boys J dorama staring Kento.

Real Sexy is a typical Sexy Zone song: simple, catchy tune, akward dance moves, with Shori saying "Real Sexy!" somewhere in the middle of the song. The video clip is interesting to watch although in reality, it is only a group of boys dancing in front of green screen.

I don't know what Johnny has in mind the latest development of this group is not too exciting. Looking at the CD jackets above, people will think this is a group of 3 with several background dancers or something. People are guessing that Marius and Sou have been "demoted" to the subgroup Sexy Boyz especially that lately the two of them are often excluded from performances in Shonen Club too. Some say that current arrangement is due to them being "too young" for the Bad Boys song.  Oh well.. I read a lot of people hate the covers etc but the single became another no. 1 single with sales much better than their 3rd single (Hello! Hello! Merry Christmas -> Obviously this is not the title). Lol.

The other song, Bad Boys, is just not my cup of tea. It is a typical coming-of-age song for teens who are trying to break away from "cute" to "cool". Bleah.. It sounds like a mere shouting and screaming to me.

Enough of all the sexy things, let's move on to Hey! Say! JUMP who is popular but yet hardly releases new single or album. They performed a new song titled Come On A My House. Does not sound gramatically sound but oh well, it sounds JUMPish and I like the fact that the song is equally shared with all members.

And so what happened to my favorite AKB48?? Things seem to be going downhill after Acchan's graduation. After "Eien Pressure" which I dislike, their next single "So Long" sounds equally generic and boring -__-" Anyways, I have a history of hating AKB48's ballad songs. Yes, I dislike them enough that I won't embed any of these songs here. With more and more members announcing graduations, it seems that AKB days are numbered. Let's see how their summer hit will be. Usually they will have cheerful and upbeat song for summer although the PV will most likely be a predictable repeat of skin-bikini fest. Haha.. The last news I read is Tomomi Itano announcing her graduation sometime this year. Bleah.. She is one member whom I like.

one Sexy Zone

Sexy Zone released their first album last week (14 November). The title of the album is one Sexy Zone. I am lucky enough to be able to get it (albeit illegally) 2 days after the release. As I have mentioned previously, I like good songs and singers are secondary. That is why I don't consider myself a fan of "a singer or a band" but a fan of good songs. Having said that, I have to say that I am disappointed with this album.

I have high expectations because I think their previous 3 singles (which were all number 1) are pretty good. The songs in this album, unfortunately, seem to be moving away from the cute and fun tunes/images from their previous singles. Tune-wise, I don't find any new song which is memorable, even after listening to the album for few times.

I know it isn't fair to compare but I think Hey Say JUMP! and NEWS albums which I have are much better than this one. They are better because they have more nice songs which were not previously released as singles. To me, this album is somewhat similar to KATTUN albums which I don't quite like for similar reason.

Anyway, who cares about my opinion right? one Sexy Zone still reached number 1 in last week's Oricon chart! Apparently they also broke the record as the youngest group whose album topped the chart. Congrats to them for that.

"Lady Diamond". Their second single which I think is the best out of their 3 singles. Quite a bad live version here but I could not find the PV in Youtube :( Johnny's Entertainment is quite shiong when it comes to closing videos with copyright infringement.

Too early for Christmas...

Sexy Zone released their 3rd single "Sexy Summer ni Yuki ga Furu" on the 3rd October. As peculiar as the snow in summer (as the title), it is peculiar to release a summer song in late autumn. It becomes even weirder after listening to the song: it is a Christmas song!! Yup.. A few months too early. The song itself is not very catchy or memorable. I don't think I will like it if it is not without the Christmassy feeling. Looks like it is a trend for their song to always have people speaking in the song, which I find irritating. Thank goodness they keep on the trend to let people have their solo lines instead of singing together throughout the song. The video clip itself is quite nice but it adds on another dimension of peculiarity of the song as it features all the 4 seasons. I am very confused haha..

Live version! The solo parts need more pitch control but the parts sung together sounds good for a live performance.

The other songs in the single are much better than the previous 2 singles. In fact, "Kimi no tame boku ga iru" was introduced a few months earlier and I think is even better than the Sexy Summer. The other song is also pretty nice but I will not talk about it because the Youtube video had been made private so I can't share it here.

"Gingham Check" is AKB48's first single after departure of Atsuko Maeda. Hmm.. on the first glimpse, my eyes opened big big.. I was like how come AKB48 is also singing Gangnam Check?? Haha.. Too much Gangnam Style.. Anyway, I like this song better than their previous single Manatsu no Sounds Good. And as usual, the PV is not uploaded by the official AKB48 channel yet so I will just share the live performance. Kinda sad to see Acchan watching her friends performance. She looked sad :( Haiz.. She should not have left!! And nothing beats girls in dresses :)

Anyway, the video clip is still something like Manatsu no Sounds Good which I don't like. There are a few plots: the police vs robbers, the street gang fights, the ghost story, and the Godzilla, which I don't think quite make sense. Bleah.. they should stick to the straight forward cutesy type of PVs bah..

Wake up call

Yesterday I had a close encounter with "death". Jeez.. I tried to sleep early on Friday night but it was disrupted when I woke up due to all the sneezing at about 4am. Thanks to that, I did not hear my alarm ringing at all. That was scary because I actually switch on my table clock alarm too! Haha perhaps I already anticipated that I would not be awake easily on saturday. Eventually I only woke up at 727 and that was because the landlady was opening my door to take out the laundry. ZOMG!! I had to report to work at 8 leh!!

I really felt thankful for her. And more importantly for God. With such an urgent circumstance, I could actually finish my showering in 5 minutes. Haha.. Usually it took me 15 minutes. Gotta spend money on cab but lucky I still report to work on time. Fiuh.. Now I am really worried about what I should do to prevent such things from occuring again. I already slept earlier, setting up 2 alarms with handphone and 1 alarm clock but they all failed :( Perhaps because I seldom pray at bedtime anymore and this is a "wake-up" call.

Anyway Hey! Say! JUMP just released their second album titled JUMP World on the 06/06/2012. Much much worse than their first album. Interestingly, here I wrote that I did not quite enjoy their first album. Comparing the two now, I find the first one to be much better. Haha.. My prediction (as seen on the last sentence of that line) comes true. As they become more mature, they start to move towards "cool" song. I am someone who prefers "cute" song. The album is released in 2 editions: regular and limited. The last 2 songs of both versions are different -_- I really hate this kind of marketing strategies leh.. Even though not as if I am buying the album oso lol.

Regular Edition Cover
Limited Edition Cover
I think because of this I had a weird dream related to them. I was asked by their manager to call them in Japan asking which song is their next single. So I called Keito, the member who can speak English (obviously right!) and of course he found my question weird. He asked who actually asked me to ask the question. I said Johnny (lol.. that's his boss) which was not possible because the boss was in Japan 0_o. I hang up to find the manager who asked me to call them for his name. I could not find. I ended up running somewhere where I was supposed to play a violin piece in a lecture hall. It was 15 minutes before my turn and I was like "wth!", I could not even play violin! I do not even own a violin in real life! My closest encounter with violin was in JC for the failed attempt to play violin accompaniment during harmonica concert lol. But somehow in my room backstage, there was a violin but I tried to practice using a pen knife. I ended up cutting 2 strings so I could not play. Then my dad called to me ask where the heck I was hiding. I told him I would not perform because I could not even freaking play a violin! He said I should tell the organiser right from the start instead of becoming a huge embarassment now. Then I woke up.

Fiiuuh.. if only all the bad things happening to me are just dreams. I can just wake up to run away from it. That is convenient. Lol.. Anyway.. weird weird dream...

Time crawls.. It has been only about 1 month since I am back here and start working but I am already feeling very tired. 6-day week feels excruciatingly slow and tiring now after experiencing the joy of 5-day weeks twice. I find this ironic because 6-day week used to be my norm in the preceeding 9 months. Anyway, this is a week to feel joyful. For the past days, I consider my luck as good because the crowd was more or less cleared before 5pm. Woohoo.. Although not much difference in terms of leaving time due to the counting money time at the retail and payment sides. Still, waiting for them to count money while I do nothing is more shiok than having to clear 40 or more patients after 5pm. Lol.

I am proud of myself with the fact that I have not bought Coffee Beans or Starbucks for the past 1 month. Tried to do the same for potato chips but that failed 2 days ago =x Bubble tea-wise, it was a gone case since 2 weeks ago. I hope I can "fast" from fast food after next week when the McD Hello Kitty plush offer is over. Lol.. Nowadays I completely have no time for night jogging. Sigh.. I am getting fatter :( Can't even stand seeing my ownself in the mirror =x I have a bit of craving for Subway for the past 2 days. I used to consider Subway as the healthiest among all fast food chains. Thanks to pharmacy, now I no longer think so. All the processed meat (ham, salami, and friends) will increase the likelihood of hyperurecemia and/.or gout if I keep eating. Oh not to mention that last week I had a terrible nightmare in which I was diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. That is as good as a slow death sentence.. How I miss home-cooked food.. It is just sickening to think what to eat for lunch and dinner everyday when I am already sian with all the food I usually eat.

Enough rants!! Hehe.. I want to talk about AKB48 now. I just found out that there is a new single called Manatsu no Sounds good.. whatever it means but the song does not sounds particularly good to me. I have to admit that I am not usually crazy over singers. I am more into good songs. And for this time, I don't particularly like this single, especially the first time I heard a part from the commercial. As typical summer song from AKB48, the music video is basically the girls dancing and jumping around in bikini. Sigh.. I hate it when people make girls sort of sex objects like this.. Cruel entertainment world.

This is the Dance Version. The official PV opened with the girls in war zone and followed by his dance on the beach. Does not quite make sense right?

I still prefer their previous single which I shared here (yay for the official video from their youtube channel). I found a video of their live performance. It seems that no matter how good they seem, when they sing live, it is no where as good as the studio version. No idea why they sound so "low" and so uninspiring here.. And someone please FIX that irritating trumpet sound! zz..

Time to bed soon. I hope I can sleep properly tonight. For the past few days, I had been oversleeping when I intended on taking a short nap only o_0

Give me 5!

AKB48 released their 25th single last month (I knew I am late!) haha.. The music video is more like a mini drama as it lasts for 34 minutes. Lol.. I wonder when I will be able to watch the full one. Anyway below is just the song only, which I think is pretty good. Apparently, the girls really train for few months to play the respective instruments. In the end, whether they play nobody can tell. Although some claimed that they played it live for few occasions.

From the previous videos, I don't particularly like the girl who is playing the drum in this song. But seeing her playing drum, I think she is quite cute :p

Below is another song which happened to play as I was watching random youtube videos. It was pretty old. It came as the C-side of Heavy Rotation single. Click here to know what Heavy Rotation sounds like. Again, this Lucky 7 song is my type of songs with a nice and colourful video clip, without any need for the girls to strip down to their undies. Haha but then again, I think most AKB48 songs sound relatively similar somehow. Perhaps that's why I like most of them.

And as I think that Heavy Rotation was quite "hardcore" enough, SDN48's (a sister group of AKB48) video for the song Yaritagariya san left me really speechless.. The dance and the dresses are provocative enough. The last one minute of the song was just wew.. unbelievable.. Just watch it. I wonder how on Earth this kind of thing can pass as a normal pop song. Lol. I think the song is not that bad. So why resort to this kind of promotional video sia...? Based on wikipedia, SDN48 was created based on "adult idol" concept so I guess that explains everything.

Sexy

Last year I mentioned about Sexy Zone here. I will share the video clip here. The song and the video clip is so so only. The only thing I want to share is that I like green. In this video, one guy (Nakajima Kento) wears a green vest. And I have a jacket (now it becomes my pajamas) whose green colour is of the same shade like that. Haha o_0 forgive my randomness.

Still on the topic of sexy, does anyone remember the song Sexy Naughty Bitchy sung by Tata Young? I think it was popular in the early 2000s. Happened to see the video clip and the full lyrics. I am amazed with, first, the lyrics. Oh well, my English was perhaps non-existent 10 years ago, except for the sexy naughty bitchy part :p Second, the clothes! Wow.. What is considered sexy naughty bitchy 10 years ago is like nothing nowadays. Nowadays, many video clips are not much different from lingerie advertisement, if you know what I mean.

I want you! I need you! I love you!

My sunday plan was totally unrealised. I did not run in the morning. I did not do ANYTHING regarding my assignment. I ended up playing my PSP haiz. Anyway my laptop is giving me a headache. It is crashing everyday and I cannot update my Internet Explorer. I am thinking of re-installing but the problem is I cannot even uninstall it now. Sigh.. Now it is trying to update and even though it is running for >6 hours, the update still failed. Now is my 4th try already. Haiz..

On the prospect of boring attachment in coming days, I am tempted to buy iPod. Not the first time actually. Haha.. I always get this impulse whenever I need to have a long journey on the bus. I am falling asleep playing my PSP on the bus! Lol so it does not help. But the price is a huge deterrence. Haha.. 160 GB iPod classic is $388. That is as good as a new phone. Or it almost gives me a netbook (to replace my laptop!). So yeah I should think again haha..

And while talking about music, I want to share some interesting ones. First is Hey!Say!JUMP's Arigatou Sekai no Domo ni Itemo. Not really my type of song but what makes it kinda cool is that it is filled with the word "Thank You" in many languages including Indonesian/Malay :D

Next is a song called LaLaLiLa by B.I. Shadow. It is a group under Johnny's Junior. They have not (or perhaps will not) debut so usually they recycle the songs. The first time I heard the song was from a video in 2009. And well, boys grow up. And when they do, their voice changes too. So it is quite interesting to hear them singing the same song again 1 year later with more mature voice. Haha.. I kinda like the song so maybe it will be my new alarm song in the morning lol.

And as I was reading news about, I found out about AKB48 selling millions of singles in their first week. They have been around for quite sometime but I just thought they were a girlband (with tonnes of members) trying to copy or compete with SNSD from South Korea. But after I know that other people are struggling to even sell 100k singles in their first week, AKB48 close to millions sales made me interested in knowing. The first song I clicked on youtube had them singing and dancing in bikini as their music video -__-" Now I really know why they are so popular. Haha.. When you have lots of girls dancing sexily, not even naked boybands or naked solo singers can beat them :p But I actually like their songs (cutesy cutesy type). Lol..

Nah I am not gonna share their bikini music video. One song may not be a good explanation for their success so I randomly clicked another song and in this, the girls are singing in their night gown. Seriously this is a soft-core porn to me. I was quite stunned in the middle of the song when one girl kissed her reflection in the mirror. My first thought was: OMG 2 girls kissing!! Then: Chey!! Only mirror! Lol.. But wait..  a few seconds later, there are indeed girl-girl kiss!! Not to mention they are mouth-to-mouth kisses! Aaaw~~~ And there are a FEW of them!! Gosh.. Haha...

The song title is Heavy Rotation. I googled for the meaning I think it is quite meaningless and certainly has no link to the video clip. But then again, I think the song is cute/nice to hear, and the video is actually quite nice in the detailings. If just listening to the song but never see the video, I think I will still like them ba. Haha..

And below is a clip from their concert. Same song but minus the soft-core porn. Haha.. Quite nice choreo and nice to watch as the stage is filled but everything does not look messy. And it is certainly refreshing to hear masculine cheers among the audience. Lol.. Kinda tired of fangirls scream (since lately I only hear boybands :p). Perhaps I should re-watch my Ayumi Hamasaki concert videos to check whether her fans are mostly males too. Lol.

Aaah and they actually came to Singapore for Anime Festival Asia X last year. But I could not be bothered back then. Baaah wasted sia hahaha...
